  • Matthew Blomfield

Matthew Blomfield founded Blomfield Consulting after more than 25 years building, operating, and navigating businesses across property, infrastructure, IT, and advertising. He has seen the full business lifecycle firsthand, from the early ambition of starting something new, through the complexity of growth, to the adversity that tests whether an owner and their business are built to last.

That experience includes the kind of adversity most consultants only read about. Matthew spent over a decade fighting to clear his name after a campaign of defamation based on stolen documents, ultimately winning one of New Zealand's most significant defamation judgments. That fight, and what it cost, is the foundation of everything Blomfield stands for. It is why the firm exists for clients who are in genuinely difficult situations, not comfortable ones.

Matthew brings two decades of experience in the employment relations space alongside deep commercial expertise across restructuring, creditor negotiation, governance, and business turnaround. He works directly with business owners and boards facing high-stakes decisions under pressure, providing the kind of senior, independent counsel that is honest about the realities of a situation rather than the version clients might prefer to hear.

He leads Blomfield's litigation support practice, working closely with Brandyn Gloyn on complex commercial and civil matters, and provides the commercial and strategic backbone behind the firm's broader advisory work.

Matthew's clients come to him when things are complicated, contested, or critical. His value is not in knowing the theory. It is in having lived through enough to know what actually works.

  • Josh Hasloch

    PRINCIPAL

Josh Hasloch leads Blomfield's operations and growth function, working across the firm's client base to drive commercial performance, build pipeline, and provide the operational leadership that businesses under pressure often need most.

Josh built his career transforming businesses from the inside. With a foundation in business analytics and project management, he moved into senior general management roles across industries including logistics and shipping, construction, manufacturing, and government. He has doubled revenue, restructured operations, rebuilt financial performance, and led organisations through significant change at every level from the floor to the board.

That hands-on experience is what makes him effective at Blomfield. He doesn't advise from the outside and leave. He works alongside owners and leadership teams to assess what isn't working, design what needs to change, and see it through to execution. His expertise spans governance, financial management, systems and processes, HR, and business development.

Within Blomfield, Josh oversees the firm's marketing programme and technology practice, ensuring the firm's client development and brand activity are aligned and moving. He works closely with Matthew Blomfield and brings the operational discipline that turns strategy into outcomes.

Josh's value to clients is straightforward. He has run businesses of real scale and complexity, made the difficult calls that come with that, and understands what sustainable performance actually looks like when it's built rather than declared.

  • Kerstin Littin

    TECHNOLOGY & AI PRACTICE LEAD

    kerstin@blomfield.co.nz

    0275 741 733

Kerstin Littin leads Blomfield's technology and AI practice, specialising in practical technology transformation for New Zealand businesses and public sector organisations. She brings a background spanning product management, GovTech, SaaS, IoT, and AI adoption, combining these disciplines to help organisations move from technology curiosity to working, embedded capability.

Where most technology consultants focus on tools and platforms, Kerstin focuses on outcomes. Her product management methodology means she approaches every engagement with discovery, user research, and iterative delivery at its core, understanding the people and the business before recommending a path forward. The result is technology change that actually lands, rather than implementations that stall after sign-off.

Kerstin works across a range of sectors, with particular expertise in manufacturing operations where she has led systems assessments and technology roadmaps for complex operational environments, and in government and public sector organisations where she understands the governance constraints and cultural dynamics that technology advisors without that background often miss.

Within Blomfield, Kerstin leads the firm's AI Adoption Pathway, a structured and practical framework that takes businesses through readiness assessment, roadmap development, and embedded implementation. She works alongside the wider Blomfield team, bringing technology and AI capability to clients navigating business change across every dimension.

  • Dayna Todd

    CONSULTANT

    dayna@blomfield.co.nz

    027 329 6209

Dayna Todd is a Consultant at Blomfield, working across the firm's advisory, consulting, and litigation support practice. She holds a conjoint Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology from the University of Auckland, a combination that brings both legal rigour and a genuine understanding of human behaviour and workplace dynamics to every matter she works on.

Dayna has a particular focus on employment relations, supporting clients with employment agreements, restructuring and redundancy processes, performance management, disciplinary matters, personal grievances, and ERA representation. Her psychology background gives her a distinctive lens on the human dimensions of workplace disputes, an advantage that purely legal training rarely provides.

Beyond employment, Dayna contributes across the broader range of Blomfield's work, assisting with research, documentation, and advisory support on commercial, litigation support, and business advisory matters. She works closely alongside Brandyn Gloyn and Matthew Blomfield, drawing on the firm's combined legal and commercial experience to deliver practical, well-considered advice.

As a first-generation university graduate, Dayna brings a grounded perspective and a strong work ethic to everything she takes on. She thrives under pressure, manages competing demands effectively, and is committed to delivering work of the highest standard for clients who are often navigating some of the most challenging situations of their professional lives.
